Vision
As an open service to scientists, it is driven by clinicians and researchers for themselves, while serving the interests of the general public. We believe in the crowdsourcing movement and we conceive ourselves as a collaborative publisher. iMedPub disseminates research in a tiered system, beginning with our specialty books and journals and then working upwards. The grand vision of iMedPub is a world where all medical researchers and health professionals have an equal opportunity to seek, share and create knowledge. As we are a low cost academic publisher we offer the lowest article processing charges of all biomedical journals and publish books free of charges for authors.
Mission
iMedPub aims to uphold the rights of authors, address their needs, and foster a rapid, convenient, unbiased, and comprehensive publishing environment, which not only guarantees the highest quality constructive peer-review process, but also provides an evaluation system that involves the entire research community. To fulfill this mission, iMedPub applies the most advanced Internet technologies to bring scholarly publishing into a new generation.

Affiliation
iMedPub is an active member of the Publishers Licensing Society, the Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers and Crossref. We also support the ORCID project (Open Researcher & Contributor ID) and CHORUS.
Relationships
We sustain close collaboration with several important academic institutions and medical organizations, including AEMIR (Spanish Association of Medical Residents), Asociación de Estudiantes de Medicina de Panamá, CEDEPAP, Fundación de Neurociencias, The Arab Alliance for the Prudent Use of Antimicrobials, European Society for Translational Medicine and Internet Medical Society among others. We also work in close collaboration with other publishing houses as EDIKAMED.
We were born open and electronic, without legacy costs such as managing subscriptions and print distribution. Our platform makes use of open source software wherever possible, and all of our production work is done offshore by a highly skilled but cost-effective team. We can therefore maintain a base APC of only £250 ($390 or €300), which is around 10% that of many of our competitors. This provides a lower-cost alternative for authors, funders and universities, and means that library and research budgets can go further. Our fees are fully transparent - you can trust us that every penny goes towards providing a high quality, sustainable publishing service, and not towards sky high publisher profits.
We are a signatory of the Budapest Open Access Initiative, which states that open access “…will accelerate research, enrich education, share the learning of the rich with the poor and the poor with the rich, make this literature as useful as it can be, and lay the foundation for uniting humanity in a common intellectual conversation and quest for knowledge.”
We also endorse the Panton Principles, which state that "for science to effectively function, and for society to reap the full benefits from scientific endeavours, it is crucial that science data be made open."
